- Copper content (“copper ratio”).
- Wire in which the thickness of each internal copper conductor is 1.3mm or more.
- If the thickness is under 1.3 mm, it is purchased as ordinary wire (thin wire).
- No tin (Sn) plating or enamel coating.
- If present, it is purchased as ordinary wire (thin wire).
- If the covering consists of metal (iron, lead, metal mesh, etc.) or hard resin that is difficult to remove, it may not be accepted for purchase.
- Since the purpose is to recover the internal copper wire, easy stripping is essential.
- Difficult-to-strip braided/armored ship cables (marine cables) are not purchased.
